Shri.Satish Tare gets the Award for his untiring efforts to teach a large number of youth and children over the last 15 years, the rudiments of Hindustani Classical Music while training them how to get expertise in percussion, i.e., Tabla as also Harmonium as they are both the essential accompaniment to either Vocal or Instrumental Music. He also deserves appreciation for initiating the step of conducting different Music Examinations of Akhil Bharatiya Maha Gandharva Vidyalaya Mandal, Mumbai ( India) as its agent in California. Sangeet Dhwani was considered for the Award, as the main Sponsor of Tabla Niketan”.
While giving the prestigious Award Gandharva, AAPNA (Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America) Coopersburg, Pennsylvania, to Sangeet Dhwani, President Dr.Shekhar Annambhotla, MD. Ayurveda observes . Sangeet Dhwani has taken a great step over the last one decade to promote and rejuvenate the Indian Classical Music as propounded by Gandharva Rishi and others of Sam Veda times evolving hundreds of Ragas- i.e., hymns. These Ragas set the pace ultimately for its futuristic growth that have since become so popular, world wide. Secondly, Sangeet Dhwani has a vision to set up a new institution to popularize our ancient Vedic Science of Classical Music in California.
